Our Mission

Manahil aims to establish gatherings of the remembrance of God in the Greater Orlando Area. These gatherings serve to facilitate the spiritual growth of its attendees through collective study and implementation of the guidance provided by God and His Final Messenger ﷺ as revealed in the Qur’ān, Prophetic Traditions, and practice of the scholars throughout Muslim history.

Background

Manahil is a grassroots initiative founded to serve the Greater Orlando Community. Situated within Central Florida, the city of Orlando known for its cornucopia of lakes and springs. Throughout Muslim tradition, water is seen as a divine gift from God, serving as both the source of physical life and as a metaphor for ma‘rifa (knowledge) which quenches the thirst of the soul. Manahil renders “watering places,” and encapsulates the hope for all who attend its gatherings, paying homage to the land within which it is situated. May it serve to quench thirst of those who seeks to strengthen their connection with God and his beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
